If negotiations go well the actor will be playing Dr. 'Eggman' Robotnik who, if you've never played STH, is the game's main villain.Strange as the combination might seem, especially since Carrey has been focussing a lot on his painting recently, the more I think about it the more I like the idea. Back in the 90s/early 00s, Carrey was known for playing comedic roles in films such as Ace Ventura, The Grinch, Dumb and Dumber, and Liar Liar.Since Dr. Robotnik is a stereotypical 'evil villain' - the sort that has a very pronounced tone and loves to insult his minions - I can see Carrey fitting in the role very well.Whether the film will have a stable plot or not, I'm not too sure.
