　　If you were looking forward to getting stuck into The Elder Scrolls: Blades this weekend, I'm afraid we've got some bad news for you. The game's release has been delayed... but only by a week, hurrah! Well, so far.If you need a new game to play this weekend, there have been some fabulous titles released in our New iOS and Android games list.While we're not sure why Bethesda's delayed the release, it seems from its App Store page that, aside from pushing on its pre-order date from September 1st to September 7th, it's also had a play with its file size.The big question here is whether this is just a case of Blades needing another week for a few refinements, or whether its Autumn 2018 release window is the actual goal.Why am I slightly skeptical? Well, there's still an early access period which hasn't been rolled out yet. Sure, it got people to sign up for the game early, but it doesn't make much sense to have an early access period and release so close together.Unless early access was just a ploy to get you to sign up for the game (and get you on the mailing list), which I doubt.The other reason behind my skepticism is that it's dropped out of Apple's 'Coming Soon' page, which throws up a bit of a red flag. Once upon a time it started to rain and all the wacky little monsters had to flee from the upcoming flood. Most found safety on the ship of the Grumpy Old Guy, but some were left behind. And even though he asked politely, the Grumpy Old Guy refused to take Mr. Critter with him on his ship. So here we are... Mr. Critter is left behind and has to find his own way to the ship and show the Grumpy Old Guy he messed with the wrong wacko! Fortunately he finds himself a catapult in the shape of a gigantic boot (called 'The Kicker'), and he's able to launch himself into the air. That's where you come in...The ControlsIt's your goal to keep Mr. C. in the air as long as possible, without slowing down and crashing into the ground. Our petite critter buddy has no wings, so he has to rely on other critters to stay airborne. The most convenient way to stay in the air is to smash into other wacky little monsters (called 'Batties') that he encounters in the sky. When you tab the screen, Mr. C. starts spinning like crazy and smashes into everything in front of him. When you hit something (like diamonds and monsters), Mr. C. bounces off and his speed and altitude will increase. Smashing into other flying monsters will not be enough, sometimes you have to bounce off the ground. Of course, this will reduce your speed and height. Fortunately there are boost / power-ups on the ground that can launch you again (like a super robot or a cannon). Mr. Critter will also find other creatures running on the ground whom he can use for even higher bounces. The KickerEvery game begins with launching Mr. Critter by kicking him with a giant boot (tough love?). Adjust the power and trajectory to launch our silly friend into the air. The Kicker can be improved by buying upgrades or unlocking new versions. You start out with a basic boot Kicker, but you can unlock a battering ram, cannon, ray gun etc. Use diamonds to purchase items in the store. These diamonds can be found throughout the levels and inside loot chests, which appear after a certain distance.Upgrade the kicker for:- Better accuracy when aiming- Powerful kicks- Extra kicks, for when you're about to crashThe CritterUpgrading the Kicker will not fix all the problems for our wacky little monster. Give him upgrades and perks by collecting stars. These stars can be earned by reaching a certain distance or by leveling up. Higher levels will also unlock some foolish new passive skills.Upgrade Mr C. for:- Increased bounciness and smashing skills- More absurd boosts and power-ups- Increased speed and altitudeThe Mini GamesThis goofy cartoon will keep you hooked due to the humorous gameplay and silly Mini Games. The news was first reported on by Touch, Tap, Play.Set in a monochrome world, you play as young Hue, a little guy searching for his mother who one day just up and vanished. By collecting shards of a shattered ring, you now have the power to perceive colour and alter the world around you, which opens up all manner of fun platforming experiments.Punch the Moon has unveiled Rog & Roll, a new retro platformer coming to iOS and Android in early 2021.Rog & Roll is a fast 2.5D platformer inspired by retro classics like Mega Man and Kirby. In a world of reformed, peaceful monsters, a disgruntled boss returns, using its mysterious machines to enslave them and rebuild his army of minions. It’s up to you, playing as a courageous low-ranking monster named Rog, to save the day.On the surface, Rog & Roll is a classic platformer with an emphasis on fun and retro-inspired graphics but, going deeper, its gameplay is expansive with fluid movement and a variety of different levels to tackle. The stages are vibrant and rich, taking you from futuristic cities to haunted ruins. Each area comes with its own aesthetic, music, and gimmicks, so the amount of variety will keep you engaged throughout the entire playthrough.In true platformer fashion, there are also many secrets to find. 　　I don't know about you guys but the idea of a single Nintendo theme park is rather wonderful, let alone three. Soon in Universal Orlando, Universal Los Angeles, and Universal Japan you'll be able to take Super Mario World to a whole new level.Nintendo announced yesterday that it would be developing a theme park featuring some of their most beloved, and hated, characters across three locations. These will include rides, restaurants, and a bunch of other fun things to lose yourself in.Judging by Disneyland, Harry Potter World, and the likes of LEGOland there's no way that these parks wouldn't go down a storm. Our editor, Mr Glen Fox, would probably be there on opening day to be the first to hug the first costumed Link walking around.However I would hope that Nintendo would plan something to make the park unique - something that stands out from the crowd of other theme parks.
