A RICH MAN lived near a Tanner, and not being able to bear the unpleasant smell of the tan-yard, he pressed his neighbor to go away. The Tanner put off his departure from time to time, saying that he would leave soon. But as he still continued to stay, as time went on, the rich man became accustomed to the smell, and feeling no manner of inconvenience, made no further complaints.
A CERTAIN rich man bought in the market a Goose and a Swan. He fed the one for his table and kept the other for the sake of its song. When the time came for killing the Goose, the cook went to get him at night, when it was dark, and he was not able to distinguish one bird from the other. By mistake he caught the Swan instead of the Goose. The Swan, threatened with death, burst forth into song and thus made himself known by his voice, and preserved his life by his melody.
Updated on December 14th at 15:40: Well, Dodonpachi Ichimenbanchou has just popped up on the App Store.
Samsung is not having a good week…or couple of months as their latest smartphone is causing them, and us, more than a few headaches. However it looks like Oculus has made a tough call today as they've withdrawn Gear VR support for the Note7.

A message on Oculus' official website earlier stated: "Oculus is removing support for all Note7 devices on the Oculus platform. Until further notice, Note7 devices will not be compatible with the Gear VR." Clearly the fear which has probably run through our minds has finally hit the top dogs at Oculus. After all, a Note7 catching fire/exploding right next to someone's eyes is a mildly bigger deal than it catching fire in someone's pocket.

Some people will grumble but I don't blame them at all. Having gotten a Gear VR for the Note7, I'd be lying if I said I'd been using it frequently since this all kicked off in September. I rather like my eyeballs intact and working, thank you.

Of course, the likelihood of an incident like that happening is slim to none, but clearly Oculus thought the potential of such an incident was enough.

"I wonder if it would be right for me to tell him that Leslie cares for Owen," she thought. "He would never let her suspect that he knew, so her pride would not suffer, and it MIGHT convince him that he should let Dick Moore alone. Shall I--shall I? No, after all, I cannot. A promise is sacred, and I've no right to betray Leslie's secret. But oh, I never felt so worried over anything in my life as I do over this. It's spoiling the spring--it's spoiling everything."

10tons' Undead Horde has shuffled over to Android following its release for iOS in October. We featured the iOS version in our Games of the Week round-up back when it released because we're big fans of the concept.

If you're unfamiliar with Undead Horde it's a hybrid of an RTS and ARPG where you play as a powerful necromancer who can wade into battle themselves to smite their foes down with devastating attacks.

However, if you prefer to be more hands-off you can simply raise the undead to do your fighting for you. It's similar in concept to Pikmin or Overlord where your troops will loyally follow you about the battlefield and will attack anything you demand them to.

We don't often cover software updates here on Pocket Gamer but I thought this was newsworthy. Android just announced at GDC that it will soon let all Android users try apps directly from a search result without installing it.

Running via a streaming API, you'll just have to hit the "Try Now" button when you search for an app and you should be all set.

Here's what it looks like:

You'll be limited to the first ten minutes of the game but this is rather neat and a new way for developers to communicate about their apps.

Of course, since it uses a lot of bandwidth, this will restricted to Wi-Fi only.

You should see it pop up on your Android phone and tablet soon.

[Source]
