�&#;One of the most popular games to release in 2020, Genshin Impact, is set to receive an update soon. Version 1.3 is set to arrive on February 3rd and will be the game's first update in 2021. It will see players celebrating the new year with one of Liyue's oldest traditions, the Lantern Rite.Players will be able to dive head-first into this annual tradition by helping out the locals who live in Liyue with their various preparations. Once all that has been completed, they'll also be able to attend the grand ceremony which takes place on the night of the year's first full moon.

Great news for mobile fans of the card-roguelike genre, as Megacrit's Slay The Spire has finally launched onto iOS devices.Regular readers will remember that back on the 4th of June we reported that multi-award-winning roguelike Slay The Spire would be getting a confirmed release date for the AppStore during this weekend's Guerrilla Collective event. Well, as it turns out the plan had been to drop the release of the game during the show, and it looks as though it has gone live a little bit early. You can grab it on the AppStore right now.It's one that we here at Pocket Gamer been waiting eagerly for, and we've had our eyes peeled since the game first went to QA for mobile back in January. However, back then we thought that we could be seeing a simultaneous release on both Android and iOS devices... this is, unfortunately for some, not to be the case. The Android release is planned for later this year, but we're going to have to hold on for a confirmed date.Unfamiliar with Slay The Spire? It's a game where you build a deck of cards and collect artefacts rather than levelling-up your character. Despite swapping out traditional RPG tropes like gaining experience or building a spell-book there's a massive breadth of customisation thanks to the way that you grow your deck and inventory. Add to that an enjoyable event system and procedural run generation, there's a lot to learn before you can even comprehend what mastering the game would look like.Still interested? In the early levels you do not need to play safe because you can easily walk over the enemies.now there is one thing that is different and i do like and that is you will counter by default. someone gets close enough and hits you smack him back. A Full scale strategy RPG which will let you play without grinding and obviously hook you in to the story line. A decent SRPG with a good artwork and decent gameplay including crafting, dispatch feature is nice (send member out on missions to bring back crafting goods) generic but likeable characters.�

The recently formed gaming company FoxNext has just bought up the L.A.-based (and soon San Francisco-based) game developer, Aftershock.With three titles currently in development, the only announced one being a mobile strategy game for James Cameron's Avatar franchise. Though we still know very little about the game, president of FoxNext, Salil Mehta, said, "We are evaluating rollout but believe it will come out before the sequels. It's an incredible way for many global fans to experience the world of Pandora".Mehta also said that overall FoxNext isn't looking to stamp Aftershock with a FOX imprint, but rather are keen to have the studio keep its unique and distinctive personality and culture.As well as Aftershock's Aaron Loeb joining as FoxNext's president of studios for FoxNext Games, roughly 80 employees will also be joining the company.
