Om Nom: Merge is the latest title from the minds behind one of the most popular mobile game series of all time, Cut the Rope. This one's an idle game where you'll be challenged to merge different types of creatures known as "Nommies".

Much like the sweet-toothed Om Nom, the Nommies are big fans of fruit and 'everything else yummy'. So when a sudden abundance of fruit appears across the land, they're more than happy to head out and chow down.

The basic gameplay requires you to merge two similar Nommies in order to create new, more powerful creatures. The better the Nommie, the faster they can eat fruit and gain extra rewards for doing so. As it's an idle game, you'll be earning neat stuff even when the app is closed. Every Nommie has 3 distinct looks, adding up to dozens of characters to collect in total.
Cut the Rope review - "A great puzzle game, easy to understand yet very difficult to master"
While the Nommies do a lot of the heavy lifting, Om Nom can help by boosting their progress using spells to make the fruit grown faster. The game is set in what is said to be 'beautiful forest locations'. In order to keep the visuals somewhat fresh, changing seasons will have an impact on each level's look.
Xianluo

Nicalis teased it a little while ago but now we can stop guessing. Yes, VVVVVV is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Turn your #NintendoSwitch upside-down with #VVVVVV, the gravity-defying action game by @terrycavanagh!Available on Nintendo #eShop 11.17.17 pic.twitter.com/ib24kAcfRg— Nicalis, Inc. (@nicalis) October 23, 2017 VVVVVV is a gravity-reversing platformer where you'll be switching up physics rather than doing the usual 'jump to get over an obstacle' thing. You play as the pixellated Captain Viridian as you quest to find your friends, bring them home, and save the world while you're at it.

What gamers love so much about this game in particular is that there's nothing standing in the way of you and progression but your own skill and ability. It's minimal but effective, challening but not impossible, and complete with chiptune music, lots of checkpoints, 60 FPS, and generally fast, fun gameplay.

VVVVVV will be available on the Switch's eShop November 17th for $9.99.

If you're partial to a tinyBuild game then today's your lucky day, lovely gamers. Not one, not two, but seven of their titles are currently on sale until July 5th.

This includes such excellent titles as Punch Club and Party Hard Go (you know you love it as much as I do).
