This week in Pokemon GO we've got a brand new in-game event kicking off today, the global Water Festival.

As you could probably guess, the global Water Festival celebrates all things watery and wet in Pokemon GO. Starting from today until March 29th, you're more likely to encounter water-type pokemon, such as Totodile, Magikarp, Squirtle, and so on.

To make things slightly more exciting, if you're out and about where you would usually find water-type pokemon, you have a greater chance of running into critters from the Johto-region. If you're really lucky you could get your hands on a Lapras.

If that wasn't enough for you, you can top off your avatar with a magnificent Magikarp hat to make all of the other trainers jealous.

So, what are you waiting for? The event's only live for one week so get out there, and happy hunting.

Zynga has introduced the Halloween Extravaganza, which features new eerie events across several of its most popular games.

Among the lineup for the Halloween Extravaganza’s offerings, Zynga is presenting lots of new characters, activities and sweet treats awaiting players to help them get into the Halloween spirit.

Merge Dragons is holding a celebration event where players collect Halloween candy, find spooky pumpkins and see the Skeleton Dragon to scare them silly. To reassure you, Zynga has said the dragons are friendly as always and won’t play tricks on you, not even during the spooky times. Download Merge Dragons from the App Store or Google Play.

Next up, Empires & Puzzles gets spooky with an updated Halloween quest, Return to Morlovia. This quest features themed enemies, spooky jack o’ lanterns and special rewards for completion, including a brand new avatar. Furthermore, players have a chance to meet four new heroes that grant exclusive powers, with the possibility of earning a variety of treasures each day you log in, including gems and items. Download Empires & Puzzles from the App Store or Google Play.

It was bound to happen some day, but now we know for sure that there will be some Switch titles that are portable-exclusive.

VOEZ is an independent rhythm game originally released on iOS and Android last May. Now, however, it's been announced as another third party title and, wilder still, as the first portable-only game to hit the Switch.

At first it seems like a bizarre move on the developer's front, but after thinking it through it does make sense. Coming from a mobile platform with touch controls, there's no other way to play the game other than by using the Switch's touchscreen, and you can't use the touchscreen if the device is docked. Duh.

Though the Switch's touchscreen reveal makes it slightly easier for mobile gamers to get on board with, VOEZ's free-to-play mobile price is thrown out the window in favour for 2500 yen (about $22/$23), which is a pretty steep price change.

VOEZ will be available on Nintendo eshop at launch, on March 3rd.
Lastly, The game offers you one more magical feature that you ask every day from the PC Creator developers. Yeah, It’s nothing but the Ad-free gaming interface. If You have never played the official game before, it’ll annoy you hilariously with the enormous amount of Online banner advertisements and the vigorous Pro pages.
